The Story of HPI Racing: From SoCal to World Champion
Founded in 1986 in Southern California by Tatsuro Watanabe, HPI started as a specialized accessories manufacturer. After winning a World Championship title with the Uno motor in 1987, HPI expanded rapidly, transitioning from option parts to designing complete, game-changing RC vehicles.
Over the decades, HPI has consistently redefined the RC industry—introducing legendary models, winning multiple IFMAR World Championships, and growing under strong international leadership (including the Vestergaard Group) to continue pushing the limits of RC innovation.
